Gosport Railway Station,
Hampshire

Restoration of Gosport Railway station and conversion to provide affordable housing.

SelwayJoyce provided early cost advice to the Housing Association during negotiations with Hampshire County Council regarding acquisition of the site.

Development of the site, which was a stopping off point for Queen Victorian on her way to Osborne House on the Isle of Wight, comprises the two railway platforms and associated buildings and track and an adjacent site of new development.

The original stucco render, Portland stone colonnades and curved windows were all restored to bring the original elements of the station back to its former glory.
