Sackler Library, Ashmolean Museum,
Oxford University

The new Sackler Library is located inside a small urban block on the West side of the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. This six storey library rotunda is 25m in diameter and has various specialist, administration and entrance wings in the classical Doric order.  

The library is contained in a large circular building which is surrounded with lower wings all arranged round small courtyards. The new circular entrance vestibule incorporates the latest technology with traditional design.
