Whilst advice on capital costs forms our core business, the building owner needs to ensure that his building asset is “sustainable”. The longevity of building materials is an important factor in the original feasibility of a development project. A longer lasting or higher quality building component may cost more initially but over the life of the building is likely to provide better value.
We would therefore carry out comparative exercises on different building materials and components to assess the most advantageous specification in terms of costs over the life of the building.
Elements such as Windows, Finishings and “Renewable energy” options would be common areas for consideration.
