Lime Wood Hotel, New Forest
Major refurbishment and extensions to fine Regency House to create a high quality country house hotel and spa complex.
The accommodation comprises: the refurbished and extended main house, two elegant garden pavilions, a crescent building orientated to take advantage of the New Forest vistas, a coach house in the location of the previous 19th century coach house, staff house and spa and pool complex within the old walled garden.
The site is extensively landscaped to harmonise the development, as far as possible, into the character of the New Forest including the creation of herb and vegetable gardens to serve the Michelin Star fine dining and brasserie restaurants.
Cavendish Hotel
The De Vere Cavendish St. James's Hotel has been completely transformed to provide a luxurious Four Star hotel situated in the heart of London's West End.
In the 1880s the hotel was run by Rosa Lewis, the infamous 'Duchess of Duke Street'.
The present hotel was built in the 1960s and comprises a total of 19 floors including basement and sub-basement.
The project included the replacement of the entire services infrastructure incorporating the introduction of air conditioning throughout and complete remodelling and rationalisation of the 250 bedrooms and corridors to provide a range of single, double and suite accommodation.
The construction was undertaken using a strictly controlled and sequenced methodology thus allowing partial occupation and consequent revenue stream to be maintained throughout the upgrading process.
Upon completion of the upper floors the lower public areas, dining and conference facilities have also been refurbished.
The priorities to be considered before commencement were minimisation of disruption, programming and continuity of business, attractiveness of design, product quality and financial control.
It is considered that these objectives were achieved throughout the very difficult constraints imposed by the existing construction and limited access.
Marina
