New House, Wedhampton,
Hampshire
A new house in the spirit of Palladian farmhouse villas. The main house is built in natural stone and lime render with a pantile roof and an attached single-storey service wing in red brick and slate.
The house demonstrates best practice in energy conservation, traditional building craftsmanship and the use of sustainable, locally sourced materials. A traditional single stage procurement strategy was employed with a lump sum contract obtained under competitive tender. Outdoor swimming pool, pavilion and tennis court with extensive landscaping completed the project.
